Challenge #24: All About Love

Hello Users!

This week we are celebrating Valentine's Day, which is right around the corner (can you believe it??!)! Please make a project that has something to do with LOVE!

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

Please link your creation using Inlinkz by Friday, February 3rd. No blog? No problem! Just use keyword USE024 when uploading to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so we can find your creation. (Linking tips are at the bottom of the post!)

Please make sure to mention you are playing along with a Use It Tuesday challenge (a link is great too!) so we know you are participating.

As always, one lucky participant will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

Here is a little inspiration to get you started:

DeNetra pulled out her hoarded chipboard hearts, ribbon and flourishes to dress up this dreamy card! Je t'aime, DeNetra!

Eka pulled all these papers out of her stash! And, she also opened her Ranger Crackle paint, which had almost dried up to put the final kiss on this creation!!

Heather dug out her patterned paper and hoarded ribbons to dress up this card! And the flowers, they were a "must buy" item that sat unused. Can we say love?!

Irini used 100% hoarded items to make this beauty! Just take a look at the key! She really has the key to our heart with this one!

Sarah scrapped this darling picture of her niece! Isn't she darling?! If you can look past that cutie-pie, you will see her use of her hoarded paper and the white library pocket! No, we love you, Sarah!!

Sonya used up a heap of hoarded paper to make this amazing banner! She also dusted off a Cricut cartridge as well as used up some leftover doilies. We say amor!!

Steph used her hoarded background papers, stamps for the sentiment and doily die to make this stunning card! Oh yes, we will be your Valentine, Steph!!

Alanna paired old with new for this one! The paper and ribbon were from the stash but she pulled out some new bling for the card! Bling is ALWAYS appropriate for Valentine's Day!

And finally, we are excited to present a card by Barb, who won our challenge!! She made this beauty with paper that was 5 years old!!! Barb, you made a gorgeous creation from hoarded supplies! Thanks for designing for us!!

We can't wait to see what you create! Now go Use It!!

Challenge #23: All About Winter

Hello Users!

Our challenge this week is all about the Northern Hemisphere! ;) Please make a project that has something to do with WINTER!

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

Please link your creation using Inlinkz by Friday, Jan 20th. No blog? No problem! Just use keyword USE023 when uploading to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so we can find your creation. (Linking tips are at the bottom of the post!)

Please make sure to mention you are playing along with a Use It Tuesday challenge (a link is great too!) so we know you are participating.

As always, one lucky participant will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

And, we are pleased to give you not only a fabulous inspiration project from our new Design Team, but also a little looksie at who they are:

Alanna Hello there! I'm Alanna, a 23 year old crafter from down under Australia! I am so excited to be part of the Use It Tuesday DT and am looking forward to inspiring you in the best way I can! I have been scrapbooking since October 2010, starting with a few very basic layouts and Christmas presents. I have drastically improved in the last year (in my humble opinion) but still call myself a beginner :) I have been doing a lot of card making lately and really enjoy making cards and gifts for people I love :) Looking forward to getting to know you all better this year and thanks for having me :) Alanna used old hoarded sequins from Home Economics class over 5 years ago for the sparkly shake in this cute shaker card! She also used hoarded paper and tied it up with long-lost ribbon.

DeNetra: Hey everyone ! So happy to be apart of the wonderful Use It Tuesday DT. I have been crafting for about 3 years now and I love everything about it. I hope to inspire you all to use what's too pretty to use...then we will all have a "good" reason to buy more ! Happy New Year ! I love you all. DeNetra used a jar she collected, as well as hoarded glitter (she owns all the colors, but who is tattling?!) and vintage book pages!

Eka I am a SAHM of two young homeschoolers and one on the way. I live in Indonesia and deeply in love with papers, pattern and anything art-related, especially scrapbooking. I started scrapping 4 years ago and hooked up ever since! So glad I can join Use It Tuesday to use up my hoarded and stash in pretty inspiring ways! Eka opened her craft drawers and went to town with this! Everything is from her stash, from the flowers, to the paper, to the snowflake!

Heather Hey, Crafters! My name is Heather and I've been making cards and stamping for about three years now, although I've been known to express my creative side on other mediums in the past. I live in Alberta, Canada with my amazing husband and two amusing cats. My biggest project for 2012? Our new addition, expected to arrive sometime in late February or early March. I look forward to another awesome Use It Tuesday Design Team run and can't wait to see all the lovely projects you, the readers, have in store for us (not to mention my talented fellow DT members!). Heather used her hoarded flower bling, ribbon and envelopes to make this gorgeous gift set! Rumor has it some of her supplies came from Boxing Dad sales this year...she saved them the fate of being hoarded too long!

Irini: Hi! I am Irini and I live in Athens Greece!. I am a work at home mum so my house is messy yet creative! My son and stepdaughter are my inspiration for my messy creations!...I look forward to playing with you and using up all that stash at Use It Tuesday! Ok, so Irini listed all of the hoarded supplies she used for this layout...and it was pretty much every item! :) You go, girl!

Sarah: Hey there! Sarah Bargo here, and I'm a full time workin mama of 2 amazing little men and we live in the Chicagoland area. I have been scrappin hard core since '99 and just recently started creating cards a couple years ago. I absolutely love papercrafting, and I am soo thankful and excited to be part of the Use It Tuesday DT!! See that dark blue snowflake paper? 10. Years. Old. Oh yes, Sarah, you NEEDED to be on the DT! ;)

Siobhan: Hi! I am Siobhan and I am a military wife currently living in Alaska. Can you say COLD? ;) And I mean -50 type of cold. Crafting helps keep me sane through long winters and raising 3 little monkeys. I am so far behind in my scrapbooks it makes me want to cry. :) I look forward to playing with you at Use It Tuesday! Siobhan used her Christmas gifts (PTI stamps and dies) from 2010 that had not been used for 365 days...but who is counting?! And the ribbon is from a retired SU multi-pack.

Sonya: Hi everyone—I’m Sonya and I am so excited to be a part of the Use It Tuesday Design Team. I have a room full of scrapbook and stamping supplies that I’ve been collecting since I was introduced to this hobby back in 2000. When I’m not in my scrapbook room, you’ll probably find me on my bicycle—our entire family loves to bike and we are big advocates for bicycle safety and creating bike friendly communities. I also enjoy cooking, reading and traveling. My favorite movie is Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and I never, ever pass up a piece of cheesecake. Sonya used her hoarded DCWV paper from years ago, as well as left over ribbon from a project!

Steph: Hi ya'll! Greetings from the Dallas, TX area, I'm StephC! I'm the Logistics Manager for a Hispanic snack food company by day, and an addicted paper crafter by night. I have been paper crafting, off and on, for the last 8 years and am totally in love with this hobby that we all share. I'm a total 80's music junkie, love sports, Route 44 Lemon-Berry slushes, and can hold my own in a game of Texas Hold'em. It's a fantastic community, the paper crafting world, and I'm happy to be a part of it. I'm honored to be a part of this wonderful design team, and look forward to what you'll create! Steph dusted off her old ribbon, stamps and paper to make this beauty!

And last but not least, our Guest Designer, NanaConnie, made this stunner using an old, forgotten digi she downloaded, hoarded paper, much loved and never used ribbon, and those buttons!!! Thanks for designing for us!
